WELCOME TO THE NORTH COUNTY DEMOCRATIC CLUB!

While the Republicans were busy
trying to effect a one-term presidency,
President Obama was doing this:

  • Signed a bill ensuring equal pay for equal work.
  • Appointed two women to the Supreme Court, including the first Latina.
  • Secured a bipartisan agreement extending critical tax cuts for middle class families.
  • Signed bipartisan credit card reform into law, stopping unfair credit card practices.
  • Lowered Medicare drug costs.
  • Reduced Medicare expenses
  • Provided health care for 5 million childres.
  • Restored support for Stem Cell research.
  • Enacted legislation increasing federal Pell Grans and student loans.  Capped student loan payments in accordance with graduates' incomes.
  • Invested in community colleges, historically black colleges and other institutions serving minorities
  • Ended combat operations in Iraq
  • Cut 120 programs identified as wasteful
  • Cut salaries of Senior White House Aides
  • Froze bonuses for federal appointees.
  • Cut $20 billion from the federal budget
  • Froze federal spending for 3 years
  • Ended don't ask, don't tell
  • Provided tax credits for 95% of working families.

    And he did it over Republican obstructionism every single step of the way!
